Mountain Biking Colorado River Refuge
#222 of 279 mountain bike trails in Texas
This is a mellow trail that is good for beginners. There are not very many technical sections, but the trails flow pretty good and its worth a ride if you are in the area. The trail is shady in most areas and there are some twisty tight sections. you will likely see wildlife along the trail.

Option One: This is the best option to avoid bumpy roads. Take Lovers Lane south of Hwy 71 and follow it to Riverside Drive (do not follow the refuge signs, they will take you down some bad roads). After you pass the football fields on Lovers Lane, Riverside should be the next left. Turn left and go 1/4 mile. The road will go down and come back up a slight hill. parking is on the right when you come back up the hill. A trail map is there to let you lnow you are in the right place.
Option Two: Hwy 71 East to Tahitian Drive. Turn right and follow Tahitian Dr. Until it deadends into Riverside Drive. Turn right and take Riverside until you reach the Refuge parking (on the left approximately 2 miles).
