The route described here is assuming you are climbing East Colorow. East Colorow starts with a gradual climb behind some homes, steadily climbing to the north. There are a few steep, short climbs. Soon you are faced with a series of steep switchbacks that most riders will walk. Once past the switchbacks you arrive at a nice mellow section traversing around the prominent hill, working to the west. A few more short steep sections and you arrive at the Colorow saddle. From this point you can take a short 0.5 miles detour to your left on the Spur Trail. This is a short, steep trail that ends at an amazing view of New Castle. You can turn around and enjoy the East Colorow back downhill, or you can descend West Colorow. West Colorow starts off as a fast, smooth descent through the trees. Soon you are presented with some rocky technical sections, that some riders will ride, while others may choose to walk. A few technical, rocky switchbacks and you will arrive at a water tower. Descend the double track and arrive at the intersection of the Alder Park Connector and the Colorow Connector. Where you go from here depends on where you started your adventure.
