From Dallesport, head north on the Dalles-California Highway (US 197) to its junction with the Lewis and Clark Highway (WA 14). Turn right onto WA 14, and eventually the Dalles Mountain Road will appear on the left. Take it, and the trailhead will soon appear to the left.
