Mountain Biking Cooper Creek Trail
#166 of 307 mountain bike trails in Oregon
Relatively wide rolling trail along the edge of Cooper Creek Reservoir. Trail currently runs from the West Day Use Area (ie the Dam) to the West Day Use Area (the beach) with a short required ride on a gravel road around a wetland.
LUMBR (Land of Umpqua Mountain Bike Riders) has been extending the trail along the north side of the reservoir.
Future plans are to engineer trail through the wetland to remove the road ride and finish building the trail along the north side to create a complete loop.

Great trail for the beginner is a fact. I use to be an avid rider and quit for years. I got old and fat and am trying to get back into it. This trail is great for a 54 year old out of shape guy trying to get and stay motivated. I blessed to live 3 miles from the trail head. I was told by the Park Host that the trail is going to be extended soon to make a full loop around the lake allowing you to start in the parking lot and finish in the parking lot. it cost $4 to park or $30 for a season pass.
Thank |Fairly flowable trail to get a ride in close to town and to practice bike handling skills
