#245 of 711 mountain bike trails in Utah
Awesome singletrack trail. Trail is a cherry stem design that leaves from the west end of the parking area.
The trail should be ridden clockwise. You will follow a shallow but sustained climb up a wash (excluding one
short steep section). After reaching the top of the steep portion of trail, you will cross the road and rejoin
the singletrack/doubletrack. This will continue to the top of the plateau and will abruptly turn around and
head down the swoopy downhill before rejoining the cherry stem.
This is a great trail and should be on the repertoire for those coming up to Vernal

Travel west from Vernal, UT along State Highway 121 (Lapoint Highway). The parking area/trail head is
located on the north side of the highway between mile marker 28 and 29
This is the longer of the two LaPointe loops. Definitely do this one clockwise. The trail is mostly beginner friendly, but an advanced rider will have a good time trying to break warp speed on the descent while dodging junipers.
Thank |Awesome trail of moderate technical and aerobic difficulty
