Mountain Biking Cottonwood Creek Urban Trail
#977 of 1,395 mountain bike trails in Colorado
This is clearly an urban trail. The NE end of it above Union Road is a mix of dirt and pavement (more dirt). The SW end of the trail below Union is all pavement. The trail can be linked up with the Santa Fe, Rock Island and Homestead trails to make a nice loop to get in some miles when all the real mountain bike trails in the area are too wet to ride.

The NE terminus can be found at the end of Country Creek Trail Road up in the Briargate community NE of Powers Road. This NE trailhead is about 100 yards SE of the Wolf Ranch Recreation Center. The SW terminus begins on the Santa Fe Trail at the north end of Adventure Miniature Golf and Batting Cages on Corporate Road (a little south of Woodmen).
Not worth riding unless all other trails in the area are closed. However, there are quite a few social trails on the side of the main trail that are fun and worth the time. Above Woodmen Road access is limited right now due to a construction project. Similarly, it is now illegal to go under Powers Road for some reason. So there is not much riding above Woodmen Road right now.
