A mountain biker in a pink jersey is mid-jump over a rocky ledge, surrounded by trees and greenery in a forested trail. Sunlight filters through the trees, casting dappled shadows on the ground. Crash Palace mountain bike trail.

Mountain Biking Crash Palace

***   Add a review
#80 of 171 mountain bike trails in North Island
#9,140 in the world

Crash Palace is broken up into multiple sections crossing Boundary road.
There are some steep chutes and some nice drops. Watch out, not every corner after a steep drop is bermed or even correctly cambered. Nice tech!

Another excellent trail in the Rangituhi network - well known for the optional drop that features in the photos. I chickened out myself but really enjoyed the rest of the track which is mainly down sloping!
