Q: There's not much information online about this. On Sep 22, 2019, there was a Grand Opening celebration. It would be great if the IL DNR could publish trail maps. In the meantime, there is a map in this picture: https://scontent-ort2-2.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/70443812_2008839969217783_413958358261825536_n.jpg?_nc_cat=103&_nc_oc=AQlWHNxULbXTNHhIwYuN8H1tZcZz5riZGsa-ykUKTnnbdcZ6ERDi6Eg2LqVF08-coOM&_nc_ht=scontent-ort2-2.xx&oh=1e443b6ff6044d117139e04eccd63cc3&oe=5E26CFA5
This is a hidden gem of a trail system. It is constantly expanding and getting better. It has some fairly fast flowing singletrack sections, some tight old school single track, there are a couple skinnies to appeal to the techy riders. There are a lot of small elevation changes. Overall it is worth checking out if you are in the area.
Thank |Great trails to learn new skills. Lots of switch backs and some mild hills to roll through. Looks like there are new trails being added as I write this review. With talk of even more additions in the near future. More to come is always nice. The trail under construction will give riders the opportunity to stay in the woods transitioning between the front and rear trails. I can't wait to hit this trail again once the new leg is finished. There is a very nice view on the property with several ponds and a nice blacktop path as well that's about two miles long. I would like to make known though that the address to this place is actually located at 5886 E. 1050th Ave, Robinson, IL 62454. They also have a primitive camping area with a nice shower house that can be reserved. Phone number for the place is 618-553-0805.
Thank |The Crawford County Forest preserves has about 2 miles of asphalt trails and about 2.5 miles of dirt trails. The dirt trails are designed to help riders work on corning.
