Mountain Biking Danimal

*****   Add a review
#168 of 322 mountain bike trails in Michigan
#6,433 in the world

Danimal is Copper Harbor's intermediate jump line. After a moderately-sized "filter" drop, riders are immediately confronted by forgiving jumps with wide lips and large landings. However, as the trail progresses, riders' skills must as well. The exposure increases, the lips narrow, and the landings shorten up. The jumps are still very doable, but beginners will definitely have to practice to nail it. When mastered, it all runs so smoothly that before you know it, you'll be at the bottom and wanting to go for another run.

Getting there
From downtown Copper Harbor, take Michigan Highway 26 west. When you reach Brockway Mountain Drive, turn left. Climb the switchbacks, mount the ridge, and stop at the first lookout on the left. On the Edge should be there. Head down it and turn right onto Woopidy Woo. Danimal should appear on the left.

By far my favorite trail! Could do it all day but the rest of the mountain is so intriguing as well!
