Mountain Biking Darth Vader

Great trail that is expanding. It has wooden bridges and can be ridden in both directions (one way during the spring and summer, the other way during fall and winter). Great views and great climbs.

What a pleasant surprise! I hope someone adds listings for all the loops here because what I rode today was not on the map here and it was great. The new Possum Shot loop is strenuous, but technically quite manageable for this blue square rider and WELL worth the effort. Wheeeee! (I also enjoyed the wildflowers this beautiful Sunday, BTW.) Thanks to Rob and all the volunteers I'm sure helped give me a fabulous afternoon! (And I can hardly wait till Fall to try the reverse direction...)

Challenging and a great mix with the regular Elkin Creek Trail system in that the nature is more technical, steep, and challenging. Couldn't make it up one hill so I'll have to try again!

Finally got a chance to ride It last night. Super cool trail with some very nice flow. I was surprised at the amount of climbing but you are well rewarded for it. The elevated bridges were outstanding and very well made and made the ride even better. Kudos to the workers and developers.

Hi all thanks for the kind words as we continue to expand the trailsystem. Please note the actual name of the trails are Elkin Creek and Iron Falls. I'm also posting a map.

I was thoroughly surprised at the flow and feel of this trail. The group working on constructing this system has done a really good job of making it flow very well. you'll find some good flow and pop on the downhill sections, with a few climbs mixed in along the way.

This trail is really fun and well taken care of. The system is going and I can't wait for more. This thing is mapped wrong right now but ill work on getting it fixed. Look for the civic center then take the gravel road behind it to the trail. Look for the sign at the trail head.
