Mountain Biking Deep Creek Crossing
#289 of 403 mountain bike trails in Georgia
This trail is mostly doubletrack at the beginner near the Ranger Camp. The trail heads towards the deep, raging creek. There are a few points where it's crossable, but after riding along it for a little ways the best point is obvious. When I crossed this creek the water was almost waist deep, so be prepared! On the other side of the creek the trail narrows to singletrack, and climbs up to the upper entrance of the Bee Trail. There are several downed trees along this trail, so don't expect a great ride.

I recommend parking at the church: From Dahlonega, head from downtown on Highway 60 (North Grove St.) past Lifetime Bikes. Go a couple miles past both of the schools, and then turn left at Camp Wahsega Road and then follow it all the way until it runs into Camp Frank D. Merrill. Turn left, and then left immediately into the parking lot of the white church. Park and ride from there.
One end of the trail starts down by the lowest entrance to the Ranger camp behind a T type barricade, and another hits the Montgomery Creek Loop near the upper doubletrack exit of the Bee Trail
