Mountain Biking Deep Run
#136 of 300 mountain bike trails in Virginia
There is not a set trail or route just ride on the paved trail and keep an eye out for singletrack. There is quite a few trails here mostly beginner but there are a few tough spots nothing real hard though. A great place to work on speed. An asphalt pump track was recently added next to the fields and parking lot at the end of the road.

From interstate 64 take the Gaskins road south exit to Ridgefield parkway. Make a right on Ridgefield parkway, park entrance is at the top of the hill on the right. Parking is the first right once in the park, or at the end of the park road.
Generally easy course, not many features. Course is basically a loop of the outside of the park, mostly flat with a couple hills and climbs. I agree with the other reviews I wouldn't go out of my way to ride here.
Thank |Kinda a maze of trails, really packed with people walking,
Thank |Average local trails that are good for an after work ride. Not a destination trail, but still fun.
Thank |Deep Run Park is a very easy park to ride, but it was still fun. The trail runs around or near the park boundary and runs both directions. Volunteers with rvaMORE did some work in the spring and summer of 2016 on some foot bridges to clear wet areas of the trail. Henrico County is lucky to have these trails!
Thank |Great place to test out gear before actually using it on a real trail
Thank |I can ride my MTB to Deep Run Park from my house.... The place is okay, but nothing really spectacular. Try to avoid the paved paths at all times. There's just way too many moms walking with baby strollers, old ladies walking Muffy - their yappy little Terrier. At the first sign of a trail, take it and head into the woods. There are a few tight turns and maybe a technical section or two, but like I said, nothing to really rave about. It's more designed for new MTB'ers who just got a bike from Target or Wally World.
Thank |Nothing to technical here...I wouldnt go out of my way to ride it...but it is a great place to bring someone who is new to the sport
Thank |good for XC guys who want to improve their speed over mildly bumpy terrain, or for learning some mild technical skills. a few rooty sections, two roughly 30 foot long sections that are very rocky, and a few areas that are prone to collecting standing water when it rains. also good for practicing log crossings and stuff like that. the it's generally pretty good for unwinding at the end of the day or for giving a friend a taste of mountain biking. if you have to drive to get to the trail, you might as well go to powhite or the james river loop of trails
Thank |This "trail" is really a waste of time. There are very few cleared trails and nothing to even give a first-timer a quad burn. I had to leave and go to Powhite to get a workout!
