This is a steep out and back singletrack trail that runs 3.4 miles (one way) in a general north south direction. The trail runs through beautiful mixed conifer forest with nice views of the Sangre de Cristo range.  There are lots of switchbacks especially on the south end along with some rocky gnar throughout. After a steep first 0.1 mile start, the trail continues to climb about 900' to a top at the 2.5 mi mark. The trail then descends 430' over 0.9 miles to the southern terminus. The north end has 8 switchbacks over the first 1.33 miles of climbing. The south end has 15 switchback over the 0.9 mile descent. The highlight of the ride is descending the 2.5 mile downhill (~900'), heading north from the top back to the north trailhead.

A fun trail with some places where you can get quite a bit of speed. There's a portion of the trail on the north hill that is pretty overgrown. With the rocks and random small stumps it forces you to dial it back a bit here as you descend. It would be really helpful to get a trail crew to widen this part of the trail.
