Mountain Biking Discovery Lake

#508 of 1,004 mountain bike trails in California
#6,376 in the world

Initially it is very steep and paved then it becomes hardpacked, well maintained smooth dirt. Approximately 2.5 miles up you hit the real trail loop. Fun coming back down.

This is a new area of multi-use trails built and maintained by the City. The trails are all paved or decomposed granite with a width of 6-8'. The trails are not technically challenging but there are a couple of good climbs. These trails are easily linked to the La Costa Trails for some longer loops. Lots of walkers and trail runners.
