If the wind hadn't been blowing 20 mph this would have been super fun! Ran out of light so turned around at just over 4 miles in and it was really fun coming back!

Rider questions

Q: Terrific write up-photos-video, thanks. Make a spring sojourn to Cortez-Phil's Fruita/Moab each spring and autumn and I'm pondering the Farmington trail that you featured....Why mandatory fatbike (sandy conditions OR)? What caliber tires are recommended (I ride nothing but my rigid fatbike year round and change out the wheels/rubber between winter 26X4.5" & non-winter 27.5X2.8" wheelsets. rode the GDMBR last summer on 26X3.0"). thanks.
A: The ride is over 90% sandy arroyos.
