Mountain Biking Country Club Trails
#133 of 710 mountain bike trails in Utah
Ride up the road and follow the switchback back to the north then around to the west and back south. Stay left at the fork and follow the jeep trail up the hill. The singletrack begins 0.68 miles from the parking area. The singletrack winds around to the west end of the mesa and follows the rim to the north. It ends at a jeep road which will complete the loop and there are multiple bail out points along the way which will shortcut you back to the jeep road. As of 5/2014, there are plans to expand this into a major trail network. .

From Price, go North on Carbonville Road. Take a left on 2500 North. Take the first right after the RV park. Follow this under highway 6/191. It will go south, then turn back north again next to a driving range. It will then go west by a golf course and switchback again uphill. As the road begins to veer south again, look for a small parking area on the left, about 1.8 Miles from your turn from Carbonville onto 2500N.

The Country Club Trails (formerly the Driver Trails) meander through juniper trees on a mesa above the Price golf course in Utah. There are 7 trails totaling about 16 miles although 4 miles are undeveloped.
The trails have golfing names...
*** Driver, 1.1 miles, easy, mainly round the rim of the mesa...
*** Three Wood, 2.3 miles, intermediate, some nice views...
*** Five Wood, 1.7 miles, intermediate, watch out for pin cushions...
*** Putter, 1.6 miles, easy, more weeds than tyre marks on the trail...
*** Cliff Burton, 2.5 miles, advanced, interesting rock steps and drops, along the rim of the mesa, great views...
*** Out of Bounds, 4.1 miles, undeveloped...
*** Meander, 2.3 miles, intermediate. It and Driver are the most popular trails in the network...
I don't know what's wrong with the locals but they don't make much use of these trails apart from Driver and Meander which are good scenic rides. Cliff Burton is an interesting technical ride with marvelous views but it's so little used that it's indistinct in places. You get to it along Putter which has the same problem - the riding is easy you need good trail following skills! The Wood Hill Road Trails (formerly Luke' Trails) are more popular with the locals.
Thank |As of 5/2014, this is a work in progress with a lot of potential. The first third of the singletrack is pretty well packed, the middle third is pretty soft, and the upper third is very soft. The singletrack entrance is barely marked with some very small cairns hidden in the junipers, so you really have to look for it. There are awesome views around every corner and the cruising through the junipers is very nice when the trail is firm. The final jeep road descent is fast and furious with some air opportunities. Be sure to stop at Bikewerks and talk to Fuzzy for great trail advice.
