This is a purpose built mountain bike trail, with some added jump line options. There are three distinct downhill sections, and climbs. Riders can shuttle back to the top or ride up a gravel road. There is a trail head map at the top of the overlook where the trail begins. This trail is well built and marked. Banked turns and fun downhills will appeal to riders of all abilities. Jump lines have a beginner line for learning and a more advanced line for accomplished riders. This trail is dry most of the year.

The Overlook Trail starts at the top of the Town of Dubois Recreation Area Scenic Overlook at the end of McKinley Drive. From the east end of town drive west from the main corner 1.2 miles and look for the large sign for the Scenic Overlook on the right side of the road, Turn right and follow Mckinley drive to the top the trailhead starts on the west side of the overlook. Arriving in Dubois from the east drive about .7 miles past the super eight and look for the large sign for the Scenic Overlook on the left side of the road, turn left and follow Mckinley drive to the top the trailhead starts on the west side of the overlook.
