Mountain Biking Dunstan Lakeside Trails
#105 of 193 mountain bike trails in South Island
The Dunstan Lakeside Trails hug the edge of Lake Dunstan both north and south from Cromwell. A good place to start is the Heritage Precinct because there's a café there for a drink when you get back and it's an interesting place to wander round for a taste of local history.
The trails are wide, smooth and mellow - an ideal Sunday cruise for all the family. Starting from the Heritage Precinct you can head north towards Lowburn or south towards Bannockburn. Along the way the only thing to distract you are the sublime views of the blue lake and the rugged hills. When you've had enough just turn around and head back for that coffee!
