#584 of 1,392 mountain bike trails in Colorado

Sweet singletrack in a nice trail network. Technical ledge riding with great views. From trailhead, follow Tabeguche Trail and Eagle Trail will fork off to the right. after 1/2 mile.

I heard from multiple sources that this was the "second most technical trail" in the Lunch Loops/Tabeguache area, but I found it to be even tougher than Holy Cross. It was a serious challenge both up and down with one spot that was a mandatory dismount for all but the most skilled riders. While it lack's some of the flow and the sheer "fun factor" of Holy Cross, it compensates with plenty of challenge and the best scenery in the complex. * Review edited 4/12/2012* Review edited 4/12/2012

The photo above is not of Eagle Tail in Grand Junction. Eagle Tail is a hugely technical rocky trail with a lot of hike-a-bike. It's brutal and only fun if you're coming down and have really great downhill skills. I think it makes a great hike, though.
