Mostly two track and mostly moderate to easy grade. The top 3/4 of a mile (1.2 km) is more steep, reaching 20% slope or more, but from there it becomes a shallow grade. From the top of the mountain, riding W>E this is a 3.7 mile descent. It can be ridden as a one-way shuttle or looped together with the East Descent North Valley trail (see listing). The loop is 8 miles. There is some good speed to be found here, but many stretches are quite "pedally" on the downhill. The climbing is quite good. It makes for a good training climb early in the season.
