Mountain Biking East Side Trail

****   Add a review
#26 of 319 mountain bike trails in Idaho
#2,658 in the world

Once we park we take a truck to the top of Bogus Basin Ski Resort and we take The East Side trail down from the resort to the Hard Guy Parking Area.

While this one is mostly downhill there are plenty of uphill challenges as you go, and we did see a bear along the way. There is also one big climb at the end to top it off as well then a nice mostly downhill run to the parking lot on a paved road.

Eastside still riding great after all these years. It's getting logged over next summer. Go get some now!

My buddy and I decided to ride this today, and it did not turn out so well. Although maintenance on the trail hadn't been done since last season, there was not a great deal of wind falls, however the trail markers have not been kept up. This caused a huge problem for us near Mr. Big when the trail markers disappeared. We ended up following what we thought was the trail until we ended up near Stack Rock, and eventually found our way back to the road. If you've never done Eastside before, don't plan on relying on the trail markers.

Very fun trail with optional feature for air-time. Connect with other trails down to Bogus Basin Road or ride back up to the resort.
