Mountain Biking Edwards Point
#61 of 202 mountain bike trails in Tennessee
Easy Trail is to take the Jeep Trails down to the look out (Breathtaking view of the City and River) and then take the Jeep trails back out.
A more technical ride is to take the Main Entrance and ride down to the Jeep Roads. You can go left to the Overlook or hand a right and take the jeep road out.
Mushroom rock (I have yet to make it all the way to the rock) is very technical. Going in the left side is an easy decent while the right is large rock drop offs.

To get to the trail head from Chattanooga: From I-27 (Corridor J) north, take the Signal Mtn exit and continue up Signal Mtn. Take a sharp left turn at the top of the mountain just before the traffic light. Follow this road around until you come to a 5-way intersection near a golf course. Turn left on Timberlinks. Continue on Timberlinks through some road construction and over a new bridge. At the top of the hill past the new bridge look for some power lines. The main trail head is on the left just before the power lines. Park on the side of the road here. Or continue a little farther. The main road (now Shackleford Ridge) curves to the right and the road to the left is Edward's Point Rd. Turn left here and park at the old school/hunt club on the right. Go left from the hunt club and the jeep road into Edward's Point is on the right.
