Starting at Elizabeth Mills Riverfront Park, you will start toward Kipheart Landing on some mild single track with a few patches of tall grass and some roots. If you see a golf cart or two drive by on the course right next to the trail, don't worry, you're in the right place. Once you reach Kipheart Landing, you will have a choice of two trails. I recommend starting on the trail to the right (the trail closer to the water), and the looping back on the higher trail. While riding on the lower trail, you will see some small rapids in Goose Creek, and also the remains of the Goose Creek Canal. You might have to hop off the bike a few times to go across a stream, or up a steep hill, but not very often. There are several connecting trails between the top and bottom trails, and they are both closer to Kipheart Landing, then to the Riverside pkwy bridge at the end of the trail. The higher trail is rocky at times, and has a few steps. After completing the loop, you will take the same trail back to Elizabeth Mills Riverfront Park, therefore completing the trail. Good Luck!
Road the trail a week ago. I road the trail in November and December and it was a nice single track beginner trail. Well, when I returned I found the trail so over grown it was impossible to see the trail at times. The high foliage was slapping the middle of my torso it was so high and the tree branches occasionally slapped my face and helmet. I felt like I was riding in the Borneo Rain Forest. I still road a few miles because I am not a fair weather rider, just a heads up for anyone wanting to ride the trail, it is better in the fall and winter when the foliage is not so thick.
Thank |This trail I found extremely flat, boring and the grass is very overgrown. If you take a left out of the parking lot once you get to goose creek there is the potential of some decent singletrack but the trails are in rough shape from lack of maintenance lack of use. Look for the hiking trail markers nailed to the trees.
Thank |Good beginner trail... Needs some clearing work though ... Very tall grass.
Thank |Good trail for beginners.
Thank |Fun and easy trail that features some fun drop offs and roots to climb.
