In the first couple miles, riders are treated to climb mostly devoid of technical features (except for the occasional rock garden) that is almost completely rideable. Before the descent into Bear Gulch, expansive views of the surrounding valleys and ridges will confront riders as they gently traverse a ridge of their own. The descent from there is absolutely stunning; they will be meet by stands of aspen and pine while flowing down switchbacks to Bulldog Gulch. After a short climb to the top of the "Bulldog", riders experience one last flowing descent where speed can easily be picked up. All they need to do is follow the rhythm of the trail to unlock the secrets of speed because barely any pedaling is required. In a shock back to civilization, riders will have to cross under I-90 to get to their car and finish the ride.
