Start at the Elkin Rec Center. Ride down the Mountains To Sea Trail. Just before the first bridge you will see the signed entrance on your Right.
Rode elk creek. Nice trail with ok flow. Needs more signs without a doubt. I was the only one on a bike ran into a lot of walkers/ runners that didn't want to move like they weren't on a bike trail seemed to kill my momentum every time before a climb.
