A woman and a child stand together in a forested area near a small waterfall, surrounded by lush greenery and tree trunks. They are both wearing biking gear, including helmets, and appear to be enjoying a moment in nature. Estes Mill Trail aka Yellow Mailbox Trail mountain bike trail.

Lots of climbing, excellent descending, beautiful views, a waterfall, this trail is a little known gem in the #hiddenpisgah of Wilson's Creek Gorge.

This trail has a lot to offer - a waterfall, great views and challenging climbing with fun descents. It's a fun out and back ride or can be ridden as one long descent when accessed from the Middle Wilson's Ridge trail at its upper terminus.

There are some ruts in both uphill and downhill portions of the trail. The grade becomes a consistent climb towards the end of the trail and it gets much rockier and exposed at that point as well. Trail ends at a red metal gate and intersects with Middle Wilson Ridge Trail just beyond the gate.

Suggested ride would be to start with Upper Wilson's Ridge Trail to Hwy. 90. Turn right on Hwy 90 and then turn left two switchbacks later at the white gate, the start of the Middle Wilson's Ridge Trail. Stay on Middle Wilson's (some steeeeeeeeeeeep climbing/hike-a-bike sections at the beginning give way to fast long descent) until you see the red gate at the upper terminus of Estes Mill Trail. Then hang on for a long, fun, fast descent.
