Forest Road 597 runs into Red River at Mallette Canyon Road. There is parking along the road near the mouth of the canyon. Mallette Canyon Road provides access to Exploration Road. Exploration Road starts approximately one mile northeast of the park and ends at Midnight Meadows. It is advanced terrain.
