Rode it several years ago when it was still keep up.At that time it was worth the trip of 1 1/2 hours. It is now in the process of being re worked.
Thank |Love these trails! They appear to be well maintained, and easy to navigate.
Thank |Fun park! All the trails are pretty fun!
Thank |The trials would be really fun if they were maintained. Lots of spider webs and leafs.
Thank |I have just started to really get into Mountain Biking. I thought these were some great trails. One guy reviewed about the downed trees, but that was a lot of fun for me. I like obstacles. The beginners track is great, but the intermediate track was a blast and a bit more challenging than I thought it would be. It's a great free trail for what it is.
Thank |Fun flowy trails. Built before the latest trend of super high berms and woopdedoos. Root exposure has increased giving the trails a more technical nature than in the past. All the trails are clear except for the River (Expert) Loop which is not being maintained from I can tell. Mountain Junkies have a couple of trail run races there every year and that is the best time to ride since trails are cleaned up well before the race.* Review edited 9/17/2012
Thank |explore park is a great little bike park. ecspecially the beginers loop. it is easy and really fun and fast
Thank |One word: AWFUL!!! None of these trails are maintained. We had to walk at least a 3rd of the trails due to over a dozen down trees. Will never go back, don't waste your time.
Thank |Finally got to get up here to these trails!! GREAT ride!! started with the beginners trail to warm up and its a great trail flow is pretty fast.. and speed is fast if you want it to be!!
Thank |I finally got to ride this trail system and it is a excellent trail system. I have ridden the 1996 olympic trail system and some other great trail systems but this one is now my favorite. It has everything for anyone from beginner to advanced. There is a great trail to introduce people to the sport. There are good inclines but the downhills are fast and fun. The trails were in great shape even after all the rain we have had here. This trail is maintained by volunteers and they are doing an excellent job. I only hope the trails will remain open after Roanoke decides what will be done with the land.
Thank |Fast single track that is a blast to ride. The growth on the expert loop was being cut back during the spring when I was there. This trail has a great beginners trail for kids thats about a mile long.
Thank |Awesome flow, fast and tight singletrack. Expert loop was a little overgrown and not signed as well as the rest of the trails. Surprised that there weren't more riders out on a gorgeous summer saturday afternoon, I hope all the roanokers take advantage. Probably a fun course to race!
