Mountain Biking Fairgrounds
#131 of 301 mountain bike trails in New York
The route that is most often taken is marked by trail markers so its hard to mess up. The best way to go is left on the trailhead and proceed to take the 9.4 mile loop around a small valley. Watch out for road crossings and always look for trail markers as some logging roads are present. There will be a couple of wood plank bridges, a picnic area and a very scenic view. This trail contains many hills and is best for intermediate rider and will take about 1.5 hours depending on your skills. look out for the steep downhill at the end of the trial its very challenging.

Awesome flow trail that's part of the new Fairgrounds trail system (Slate Valley Trails) near East Poultney. Professionally built, this system has almost 17 miles of single track.
Thank |This trail was pretty rad. A bit muddy since it rained a few days ago, but nothing insurmountable. Just enough mild ups and downs. Lots of variation in scenery. Mostly double track/wide trail. Plenty of roots; a few rocky patches. Mostly well-marked, but look closely to find where trail picks up from the 3 or 4 times it crosses the road.
Thank |well i rode this trail today with my fiance and apon doing so i realised this trail can be very challenging for mountin bikers we met a group of hourse back riders along the way and would say the trail is more for horse back there are several other trails to ride aswell so we just might have picked the wrong one the scenary is nice going from open feilds to wooded areas all i can say is see for your self
