Mountain Biking Fall Creek Falls Upper Loop

**   Add a review
#150 of 202 mountain bike trails in Tennessee
#9,205 in the world

Loop trail with gentle rolling hills, nice single-track through the trees. Riding in a clock-wise directions gives some delicious contouring downhills. Intermediate. Not very technical, but long and persistent.

The "Upper Loop" trail is a _hiking_ trail the let bikes on. That's why it has 180 hairpins, no burms or TTFs, etc. None of the "single track" was very well maintained when I was there last week. I didn't ride this trail this visit, but it was "better than nothing" when I rode it last.

Who would ever classify this trail as a mountain bike trail??? This is the most overgrown, unkept trail I've ever been on. First, it's almost impossible to find the trail head in the park. There are no maps and the signs are so hard to find it's maddening!!! Once you do find a trail head, the "Mountian Bike Trail" is just a collection of 4x4 two tracks and game trails. Although there are a couple of great climbs, there are no flowing down hills. Just obstacles and ridiculous 180 degree corners!!! Don't waste your time on this one!!!!
