Parking for the trailhead is immediately on the right as you come in the main area of the park near the trail map.The trail is scenic, weaving through large hardwood trees, crossing streams, and passing between Abbott's Creek and Finch Pond. Behind the pond, the trail leads to a 50 foot overlook of the bending Abbott's Creek below The various skill level sections offer an enjoyable ride for all levels of experience. There is a 1/4 mile gravel lake loop and ½ mile singletrack/ flow beginner's loop for those who are just getting a feel for trail rides. riders can choose from a 1.5 mile intermediate loop or a 3.5 mile intermed/advanced loop. The course has a nice variety of creekside winding single track, built up modern flow sections, and even a few old school technical sections. There are armored sections, bridges, and technical rock gardens with ride arounds for less experienced riders. A favorite berm , "Himalaya" wraps around almost 360 degrees, In February 2020, the Roadies and Dirties will also be adding in an additional half mile leg of the trail that provides a much higher difficulty level for advanced riders.

This trail is one of the best around. It is currently 3.77 miles long and is well maintained. There are plenty of flowing downhill with berms as well as a few climbs to get the blood pumping.

Great ride for cardio. Fun with lots of germs and jumps. However, rain can make it more difficult and tear up the hard work.

From what i hear this trail has been updated as of recent. My first riding it 10/2019 a very fun trail not a lot of elevation change. If you have ever ridden Sherman Branch or North Mecklenburg Park i would say its very similar to those 2 trails. A definite multi lap ride

Great trail, with newly added signage. Starts off smooth, but quickly becomes fun with sharp turns. New berms make the ride way faster. follow the red blaze for the longest ride. Overall this trail is a blast.

This has become an incredible trail. It starts off like a flow trail but quickly become more technical. It is well marked and a blast to ride. The people who have worked so hard to make this trail so fun should be commended.

The trails have greatly evolved over the past year. There is a very flowy section that is great for beginners down below the playground and more challenging trails up from the playground by the pond. I will definitely go back!

These trails are not market, if it wasn't such a guessing game it has the potential of being one of the best trail systems for miles. Great flow for the most part. Some technical areas and a couple places that I believe are black diamonds, but like I said they are not marked.

A pleasant surprise to explore these little-known trails. There was almost no signage, but the area is small and bounded by roads and Abbott's Creek, so no getting lost. Trails were clear of trees and branches.
The main perimeter loop is less than two miles, but there are lots of little woodsy paths between the boundaries and the facilities in the middle. It was also pretty fun to ride out under Center St. along the creek and try to ride on the ridges between the ruts. (I thought so, anyway.)
Nothing too technical here that doesn't have a bypass/alternative. It also looks like a new trail was underway, but is instead getting leafed over, so get out there and keep it visible, y'all!

Trail is in great shape. There has been some great work done to revamp it. Nice, clean single-track with some small hills thrown in. Some of the man made obstacles from a few years ago are gone and the part through the gully. Only downside and reason for missing a star, it is shorter than it used to be, so roughly only 2 to 2.5 miles. But excellent trail with plans for more. Definitely worth it if you are in the area.

Need some riders on the trail, I guess ill need to saw a couple of down trees & get them off the trail , has a lot of potential ! Don't know who is in charge of the trail , I'm going to contact the park to see if they mind if I do some. It is very close to my house , better than going to winston or Greensboro for an after work ride , if anybody would like to help out I'm going to do it on the weekends , thanks

Today was my first time there I could tell the trails used to be road frequently. Never being on them before the beginning section was ok the middle section had trees down the lower section was overgrown and near impossible to fallow... The more people that ride and know the trail would help alot and wouldn't take much riding to get it opened up. There was a few sections that was washed out but it is easily avoided. I will continue to try and ride the trail to see if I can get it cleared out...

This trail is in major need of up keep. It has no one maintaining it and appears that no one is riding it either. But from what I seen there is potential for a nice little singletrack just needs some TLC!

I live close to this park so it makes it really easy to go ride after work or on the weekends when I don't feel like traveling. The trails currently need to be cleared out but other than that, lots of great little bridges and fast runs throughout the park.

Finch Park is a good, multi-purpose trail with plenty of challenges for experienced riders and moderate sections for beginners. As far as I understand, the maintenance is a volunteer effort and it is well-maintained from spring until late fall. This has quickly become a favorite biking trail with the terrain to keep me on my toes and just enough difficulty to get a good cardio workout in.
