Mountain Biking Finger Rock Canyon
#271 of 417 mountain bike trails in Arizona
Trail also goes down canyon along arroyo but most will head uphill on the doubletrack. It will change to singletrack in places. This trail is easy and I use it for teaching beginners, running the dog or an easy workout. Grade is only 2-3 degrees. Some sand. Lower section has been improved so it can be ridden from bottom 1/4 mile above River Rd to Skyline, about 4 miles.

From River Rd head north about 2 miles till the road makes a 90 degree bend. It changes names there, park on left. The doubletrack is straight ahead past a chain on the left.
Easy trail suitable for beginners and running your dog. Occasional water after good rains in arroyo. You can also head downstream, south and continue thru a much shaded mesquite grove to the Rillito Wash.
