Kamloops, BC on the North Shore. Google Tranquille Criss Creek Road, it is off of Tranquille Road. Follow this away from Kamloops. Tranquille Criss Creek Road turns to the left, when you come to Frederick (it continues straight in the same direction you were travelling) Follow Frederick to the corner of the Tranquille Ecological Reserve. At this point there is another split off to the left and you will have travelled roughly 18 to 19 kms. There is an area to park and ride bike from there.
Wow... If you want to test your uphill endurance this is how to do it. This ride was done with fatbikes in the winter with the hidden peril of ice. The start is slightly rolling fire road and then the switchback descent starts, ending at Kamloops Lake. I imagine the views would be INCREDIBLE but the day we went it was snowing like crazy. This is NOT a beginner ride. You go down 2700 feet and then have to climb back up.
