Mountain Biking Fishers Track
#127 of 171 mountain bike trails in North Island
From the north-western corner of National Park Village, cross the rail way line and follow the "Fishers Road' sign post. A gravel road soon turns into a 4WD track as it heads into the native forest.
For the first 10 km the navigation is straight forward, views are excellent and it's 90% downhill. After about half an hour, veer right at the Public Road sign, then coast on down the hill.
The track meets a gravel road, which leads out to a 3way intersection by a farmhouse. Turn right here and ride 12 km down valley o an ancient moss-covered war memorial. This is a good spot for a rest because there's a vicious hill between here and National Park. Turn right and follow the Raurimu signposts up to Raurimu, then turn right again at SH4 and continue climbing up to National Park Village.
Track: 23% sealed road, 42% gravel road, 20% 4WD track, and 15% single track

From the intersection of Findlay Street and SH4, at schnapps Bar, travel down Findlay Street toward the train station. Once at the rail tracks, turn right and ride along the rails down Station Road East. At the intersection with Carroll Street, turn left and cross the tracks. Follow the road's curve left, then take the first right onto Fisher Road, the track start.
