Mountain Biking Forney Creek Trail
#187 of 549 mountain bike trails in North Carolina
An easy, flowy trail. The out and back is part of the Thread trail. A couple bridges, some roots, but also nice smooth parts as well. There is a loop that you can continue on, on your way back. A great trail for a weeknight run. You can carry your bike over the suspended bridge for an additional 1 mile out and back. Well maintained.

hwy 16, east on Optimist Club, left at Sally's Y sign. Go to end of road, trail on right.
Unexpectedly scenic little trail system that makes for an easy, relaxing evening ride. Better suited for walking/hiking. As for MTB'ing, my 3 star review is kind of a stretch, especially when compared to other trails in the LKN area.
Thank |Mostly beginner, a couple sharp switchbacks and some fallen small trees. Easy ride.
Thank |nice and easy out and back trail. A few roots, no big climbs. Would be good for beginners.
