Mountain Biking FourForty Mountain Bike Park
#19 of 171 mountain bike trails in North Island
This is another yet mountain bike park in a plantation pine forest. The difference with this one is that it's on the side of a hill and you must catch a shuttle bus to the top for $10 a single run or 50 runs for $250 and so on. There are 16 trails
The shuttle only operates on weekends, public holidays and some school holidays and only if the weather is suitable. You can only ride the trails if you use the shuttle
The operators have a presence on Facebook and a slick website with nice photos and videos where you can download the trail map but you won't get lost anyway...

It's about an hour's drive from down town Auckland at 521 Kawakawa-Orere Road
Lots of variety's of trails from Begginer to Expert, the trails are very well made and I recommend children 10 . The trails could often end up in minor to major accidents. The place is pretty pricey so I recommend the $80 deal of 10 runs up the shuttle which is shareable among your friends.
Thank |Actually, I haven't ridden the 4-40 trails but for some reason they've got a rating error on Singletracks so this non-review is to fix the data error!!!
Thank |Excellent trails in an Auckland starved for riding options. Trail options for riders from competent to expert ability. Fantastic flow abounds.
