Higher, steeper and more rugged than the original Fitz zone. It may well be the perfect height - not too high to hit the thin air of the high alpine but high enough to keep summer temperatures cool and comfortable.. From the tangled roots of single track on In Deep or Goat's Gully to the berms and jumps of Freight Train this zone is sure to thrill every intermediate to advanced rider.

This is collarbone breaking, shoulder-separating downhill. I can attest to that. So, when the sign at the fork points left to intermediate and right to expert, at least on your first run, take the left turn. Otherwise you will discover how the clinics in town get gravel out of your shoulders and pop your collarbone back into place.
Some brake bumps but not too bad.
Thank |An amazing portion of Whistler downhill. Can't wait to go back. Garbanzo provides huge flowy trails with big jumps and awesome birms.
Thank |High speed thrills on upper whistler mountain
Thank |One of my all time favorite places to ride, blue velvet takes the cake because of its epic flow, berms, and jumps.
Thank |This is the upper zone of the Whistler Bike Park. There are numerous trails in this zone. The majority are very technical downhill trails with crazy roots, rocks, drops, rock faces and wooden features.* Review edited 4/15/2008
Thank |I sure hope you have some long travel and strong forearms! Cause you're gonna' need it here. This some of the gnarliest trail I've ever ridden! Be prepared for some drops, steep descents, and a little loose gravel. I like "No Joke" as my favorite way down the mountain. Make sure you have an extra tube its a LONG walk down. Also do yourself a favor and buy a full-face, mine came in very handy.
