Mountain Biking Gateway Mountain Bike Park
#28 of 115 mountain bike trails in South Carolina
This is a skills park with a smaller pump track and a bigger, more technical flow track. There are a few miles of trails of various skills levels. Some trails offering lots of gnarly rock gardens, roll downs (drops), skinnies, wood bridges, some wood structures dropping off into some rollers to jumps if desired. This skills park would rate between easy to very difficult, but also offers some sweet trail for the younger shredders coming up. In general, this park is "easy to intermediate", though there are some areas that are more difficult (pro level per say). The Swamp Rabbit Trail is only a block away. This is also a county park, so there is a ball field, football/soccer field, grill, basketball court, and playground.

Located at Gateway Park - 115 Henderson Drive, Travelers Rest, SC 29690. Gateway Park, located behind Sunrift Adventures in Travelers Rest, is on track to be the next mountain biking destination in Greenville County. The Swamp Rabbit Trail travels right past the Park at Mile Marker 24 (Sunrift/Gateway) and Mile Stencil 24.1/.2 (Henderson Rd). This is the best way to get to the Flow Park!
Only about 7 miles north of Paris Mountain State Park and Greenville, SC.
Great park for all levels, from beginner to advanced. Varying practice jump heights to work your way up, cool two sided pump track, and pretty gnarly but kinda short jump track w some nice banks , table tops, and rolls. In the woods below the jump track is a slew of different trails with various terrains, including some cool rocky concrete chunk sections, some cool log balance runs, and a cool little deck ride weave section. Most of th trails interweave and all sorts of runs can be created by the riders . Also two cool lil deck board hilltop drop in features to shoot you down to base level in the woods and it's up to you decide which route to take. Definitely enough things keep one occupied several hours if not more. Take the right turn over the tracks about 1/8 mile on the right past Sunrift adventures after the big grassy field . Close to the Swamp Rabbit trail for continued cruising or connect to the rest of TR, Furman, or even all the way to downtown Greenville if your legs delight.
Thank |Fun short track circuit with tons of constructed obstacles and pump track to build skills.
Thank |Had alot of fun.
Thank |The fact that this place even exists is pretty cool, so that bumped my rating by one. The "pump" track - like others said, mostly for kids. The jumps just aren't spaced correctly for trying to get any kind of speed or distance. The back area with the obstacles is also a treat - again, not so well executed on providing good approaches and a sensible layout, but better than anything else around!
Thank |Not a MTB park Good for kids on freestyle bikes
Thank |This Place its nice. like alot of nice training for stufff and such. Would ride again and again and again. Burms need work however.
Thank |Gateway Park is directly behind Sunrift Adventures in Travelers Rest. It has ball fields, a bike skills flow park, and a short mountain bike trail around the perimeter of the park. Upstate SORBA hosts short track cross country style mountain bike races here. This park attracts all level of riders, including beginners learning to mountain bike, spandex-wearing XC riders, bmx riders, dirt jump riders. This park is an incredible asset to the already excellent Greenville County Rec system. Travelers Rest is lucky to have it. The jumps and rollers on the trail do tend to erode, though.
Thank |This place is just awesome! Has everything you need to just have fun. However, watch out, you can get over your head in a few technical sections in the back of the park. Awesome flow track with much mix-up in technical features throughout the trails system. Lots of gnarly rock gardens! Great place to go if you want to stay local or near the famous Swamp Rabbit Trail. Great place for all ages and skill levels.
