Mountain Biking Gisburn Forest
#4 of 98 mountain bike trails in England
Nice figure 8 track with a large loop and small loop with technical sections off the double/quad track. Some hard climbs and sweeping sections which will make you grin like a cheshire cat. Voted runner up in trail of the year this year, has a lot of Northshore sections which are tough if you aren't used to them (300m continuous section) if you are after jumps, I believe they are creating a downhill/air trail on the inward loop. Well worth the trek, family friendly too, weekends are busy, but make for a safer ride and users seem to be typically Northern (super friendly). Go enjoy, survive, Hully Gully!!

Search on google/ sat nav for Tosside, and the trail car park is sign posted from the village. Cocklet car park is the start point although google is not yet aware of the location.
This is a figer 8 configuration. Bottom half is very good with lots of burms and a skills section all in a forest. The top is mainly open and for the more advanced rider as there is a few tricky parts and drop offs. There is 2 carparks, £3 for the day, cheap for a great day riding.
Thank |Been many times and it has everything you need and more. The top part is an open area so your better leaving that if it's a very windy day. The climb at the side of the hope section is a tough climb but the run down is awesome with lots of burms and jumps to keep you on your toes. Hope you enjoy the area and maybe see you there.
Thank |This has something for everyone. From a nice easy blue section to a few crazy black bits with large jumps. drops and burms. Been many times. I recommend this trail
Thank |Great place recommend to everyone
Thank |Really good trail with sections for everyone, hully gully will test your nerve with 15+ foot berms leading to a hardcore section which are technically demanding rated black although red/black is more appropriate. Will take 1:30-2hrs for a competent xc rider, average folk will take a bit longer, depends if you stop off half way round for lunch in the picnic area. Foresver being improved and upgraded by volunteers, united utilities and the forestry commission.
