#6 of 28 mountain bike trails in Manitoba
A combination of ski trails and single track. Sandy with some rock gardens. Something for everyone but fairly flat with no extended or exceptionally steep climbs.

Head to the Grand Beach cross country ski trail head and head into the bush. The race course with single track is tough to find if you don't know the way so use you GPS or take a local wpg rider along with you
Within the grand beach cross country ski area there is doubletrack trails used for skiing in the winter and there is also singletrack that branches off of the doubletrack.
The singletrack is really challenging as there are some sustained climbs, technical climbs, switchbacks on the uphill and downhill, and downhill into rock gardens. Good bike handling skills are necessary to ride the whole trail (I had to walk some of the rock gardens, and a couple of the steep climbs near the end). There is a great range of terrain here and makes for a great day of riding.
My only issue with this riding area is how it can be difficult to link the singletrack together so that you can find the whole racecourse. A lot of that will come with familiarity, but a GPS with a guide function could help you out as well.
If you are looking for the singletrack, do not follow "beaver" trail when it separates from the other cross country ski trails as it travels away from the singletrack and takes a while to come back.
To get to some of the singletrack right off the hop head straight up from the parking lot into the far side of the woods (there is a trail that enters there) instead of entering the middle of three trails to your right.
