Mountain Biking Gravity Pits

*   Add a review
#324 of 549 mountain bike trails in North Carolina
#10,772 in the world

This is a trail that goes by what used to be a gravel pit, but is now a big pond. This is the best trail in Fayetteville. Mostly singletrack, this is a plus. This trail also rides along the Cape Fear River in some parts. Elevation change up to 100+ feet. Steep in parts, flat in parts... Length about 10-11 miles if you ride it all... Difficulty is easy to moderate because of the steepness.

    I asked the peope at the bicycle shop about this trail. The guy said that he used to ride the trail about 20 years ago and that it is on private land. He said now that the trail is closed, so looks like locals are still stuck with only a couple trails without going out of town. Oh well.

    This trail is no longer open, it is more less a paved trail near Cape Fear river now. Do not go to ride it!!
