Mountain Biking Green Valley Trails
#48 of 710 mountain bike trails in Utah
The Green Valley trails have desert riding great for any mountain biker. Beginners will find Bearclaw Poppy and Snake Pit to be manageable and great for progression. On the other hand, advanced riders will love the crazy views, jumps, drops, and rollers on both the Zen Trail and Barrel Roll. In addition, large sections of slickrock are placed throughout the system for those looking for a rock fix. Lastly, the accessibility of these trails is unparalleled: all you have to do is go to the edge of town.

Coming into the Saint George area south on Utah Highway 18, turn right onto Sunset Blvd (Utah Highway 8). Next, turn left onto South Dixie Drive, which will appear fairly quickly. Lastly, once you see Cottonwood Grove Park, turn right onto Canyon View Drive. The trailhead should be right out of town.

Fun trails but there are too many alternative routes. Signage is sketchy in spots making it too easy to get off track. Otherwise a lot of fun to ride.
Thank |this trail is a pretty a easy climb to the top and the climb pays off for the downhill. the downhill can be kind of techy for beginners. But u can just walk the techy parts and ride the awesome flowy jumps that you can also roll over and pump them. Also there is zen trail right by bear claw poppy which is a very technical trail for advanced riders. The top of bear claw has the three fingers of death which is for people to practice there drops but there is a trail around the three fingers of death for beginners. Finally on the trail of bear claw poppy there is alternate routs for more skilled riders. Overall bear claw poppy is an amazing trail.

Thank |This trail is AMAAAAAZING!!!!!! It dose have some scary parts for beginners but they can easily be skipped. The dirt is also really packed in and sturdy.
Thank |Road up the left side (one way up), then up Stuckl Cutoff, then back down Jay's Wash, and then crossed back over and down the Bearclaw Poppy (one way down).
Thank |Both Jay's Wash and the Poppy down were great (Poppy down "green" trail was pretty bumped up; the blue side trails were much smoother)
All were very flowy, and great fun. Gradual climb up, gradual downs so didn't need much breaking.
Strongly recommend.
Love this ride starting in Bloomington trail head for out and back. Steady climb up several options. great ride down with drop offs, rolling hills, banked corners, jumps.
Thank |This trail is a blast. Great place to practice your drops on the "Fingers of Death". About 7 miles round trip from south trailhead at Navajo Dr.
Thank |This is a great trail to bring the whole family on . . . or even to just ride yourself. It is close to town and can be ridden as an out and back or round trip. Out and back is best to eliminate driving and take advantage of the fact that their are many different options, all of which go to the same place, on the southern point of the trail. Also, it says double track on there but this is single track all the way.
Thank |Funest easier trail I have ever riden!
Thank |Good cross country trail. Extremely easy with nothing technical at all. Perfect place for beginner bikers. Nice dirt jumps at the bottom too
Thank |Like everyone is saying it's got a nice rollarcoaster flowy feel. Fun to try and catch a bit of air off small bumps and lips. If you want to get your adrenaline up do 3 fingers of death and clavicle hill above. This trail is not very fun when wet. It becomes too slow and you can't get your speed up.
Thank |Been here a lot and keep going back whenever I'm in the area. Definitely a lot of fun. It's great because of the variance it offers for different skilled riders, i.e. a beginner can ride it and have fun just as can someone who is more experienced. I definitely prefer the shuttle option with this trail, i.e. leave a car at the bottom or have someone pick you up.
Thank |This might be the most fun I'be had on a green trail. There are some blue and black sections but they're all avoidable if one chooses to do so. The drops are fun but not too crazy, especially after you hit them once. The way down the trail is really like a huge rollercoster. Get your pump on and enjoy the ride!
Thank |The way back up isn't as fun but it's not bad either. There is a huge network of trails out there so bring a sense of adventure.
Fun Fast and Flowing. This definately is a must ride classic. Acid drop is not as tough as advertised.
Thank |Great trail, alot of technical spots and some great climbs.* Review edited 4/7/2012
Thank |Awesome trail if you like to go do fun drops or even just cruise! difficulty ranges from easy to difficult depending on which lines you decide to take and ride!
Thank |Road it from the bottom on up and back down. Trail is a blast. Our buddy dislocated his clavicle on Clavicle Hill so we spent a good few hours in the ER that evening. Nice to have services nearby for sure. Great ride, awesome BMX portions with intermittent cardio-pusing flats. We couldn't find the 3 Fingers though and I think we almost ended up in SLC!!! We got a little lost. It was fun and ended up being almost a 12-mile loop for us.
Thank |A fun non technical trail that even advanced riders will enjoy. Defiantly a cross country trail but with a little speed its like pump this, jump that and rail this. Just a fun playful trail.
Thank |Pretty sweet trail especially for those who are learning. Some of the drops can be scary for some, but there are trails that go around them as well. Going back towards the bloomington entrance is definitely the funnest. It reminds me of a roller coaster.* Review edited 5/3/2010
Thank |Rode this trail from Bloomington side as an out and back. Trail is beginner unless you choose to explore and mess around in the side hills. You can pretty much choose your level on the way back down. There isn't anything that is advanced even if you choose the bigger drops. Fast and fun at the end with many options to race down with other riders. Hard pack turns to powder with no rain.* Review edited 4/21/2010* Review edited 4/21/2010
