Mountain Biking Greenwood Park Track
#38 of 193 mountain bike trails in South Island
The three kilometre long Greenwood Park Track is an intermediate singletrack marvel. It starts out reasonably flat and fast with just a few rock gardens. It descends gradually to Evans Pass through some technical sections and some wonderful weaving curves. It is elevated, wide open tussock country with views from the Pacific to the Southern Alps and north to the Kaikoura Ranges. It's one of those tracks that stimulates the heart and soothes the soul. It leads onto the Godley Head Track which is even more stimulating!!

The Greenwood Park Track runs along the crest of the Port Hills parallel to Summit Road from the intersection of Mount Pleasant Road to the intersection of Evans Pass Road. If you're riding the Summit Road tracks, it starts right after the John Britten Track and the Godley Head Track starts immediately it. There are signs - it's not difficult to find your way.
