A mountain bike resting beside a wooded trail, with sunlight filtering through the trees and casting long shadows. In the background, a calm body of water is visible, surrounded by autumn foliage. Groton Town Forest mountain bike trail.

Mountain Biking Groton Town Forest

#69 of 223 mountain bike trails in Massachusetts

Lots of single track loops off of a main doubletrack route. The terrain gets more challenging the farther from the parking area you travel. We rode for 2 1/2 hours and had to stop to find our way back out. It is easy to get sucked in and keep rallying and easy to forget how many lefts and rights you've made. Print out a copy of the map from the NEMBA website and all will be fine...(throw some money at them too...they kick @$$)
