Mountain Biking Gulf Oak Ridge
#67 of 112 mountain bike trails in Alabama
Trail goes east 2.75 miles towards Hwy 161 then connects to Catman Rd and Rattlesnake Ridge. Smooth, flowing at times paved track. Comparable to paved portion Of Mississippi's Long Leaf Trace but much better flow and scenery.

If coming from Hwy 59/Canal Rd, after entering Gulf State Park stay on Park Rd 2 -drive about a mile to the Backcountry Trail Parking lot on your left which is a little past the entrance to the golf course .
We rode this entire system. Had a good time cruising, but this is far from a mountain biking experience. The entire route is paved which would be great for all ages.
