Mountain Biking Hard Rock
#81 of 289 mountain bike trails in Florida
Open Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays 9am to 5pm during its season. Entry fee is $5, season (12 week) pass is $25. It's a fun trail, one of the few in Florida with climbs. HardRock consists of two sections: the motorcross track which is great to practice some downhills, and the singletrack which is pretty fun. For more information: Call the Park 352-732-6697 on Saturdays and Sundays or call 352-873-9279 for information about schedules and prices.

"Take I-75 to exit 71 to Florida State Road 326. At the exit ramp, take a left (be careful, this is a really screwy intersection), and follow FL 326 to the first light. At the light, take a right onto Marion County Road 25A. Go two miles up the road and on your left you will see a motorcross track. That's the trail.
Ah.... I miss this place! I've ridden here many many times before they closed it off to mtbs. I hear they'll do a race once in a while, but it's closed most of the time.
If you ever get a chance to go here... DO IT! Best riding in Florida. Steep climbs, steep downs, technical as you want, and a water/suspension style bridge thingy, which is awesome!
Thank |We got to race here this year for the FSC #3. I never rofe here before that and all i can say is this place was awesome. Super steep climbs and super steep descents. Wish they could open it up once a week or month for the mtb people. This place is missed.
Thank |CLOSED TO MTN BIKERS!!! This is a sad story for a state that has too few resources for fat-tire pedalers already!! Years ago this trail was managed by David and Terri Berger(see www.goneriding.com) and the trails were AWESOME to the power of some of the previous reviews! Well, the landowner just didn't see the dollar signs, broke off relations with the MTBr's and opened the park to motorcycles for the front downhill sections of the park. Then the motorheads decided to "share" the MTB trails and tore most of the trails up. So, for years HARDROCK has died a slow death.
Thank |This trail had the potential of remaining the defending champion in Florida and would have been great for weekend epic rides since it's sandwiched between the Bellevue and Razorback trails - now it's just a lesson learned in trail advocacy for mountain bikers.* Review edited 6/6/2007
THis park is no longer open to mountain bikers - hope it changes again someday.
