Mountain Biking Haymaker Trail
#241 of 1,381 mountain bike trails in Colorado
This is a 5.4 mile route that starts in the meadow then climbs into the hills to the east and loops back to the ice rink. The trail was purpose built for the Colorado High School NICA race championship. MOst of the trail is non-technical, but it does have some technical spots including a tight switchback, sharp ups and downs, and finishes with a long series of bermed downhill switchbacks.

From I-70, exit 147, go south into Eagle. Go right at the roundabout onto Grand Ave then take the 2nd left onto Capitol St. Follow Capitol through the old part of Eagle. After emerging from the old part of Eagle, you will reach a 3-way stop--go left here onto Brush Creek Rd. Follow Brush Creek Road through some residential development and it will loop around and dead end at the Eagle Pool and Ice Rink. Park here--the trail leads due south from here. Be sure to ride the trail counterclockwise.
