Mountain Biking Henry Creek Loop
#242 of 319 mountain bike trails in Idaho
A great canyon singletrack climb to a fast steep descent.
Ride the pavement south almost a mile to the Henry Creek Trailhead. Here the singletrack starts. Climb up the canyon for about a mile, at this point the canyon splits. Go right, cross the fence. Remember, if the fence was open leave it open, if it was closed, close it behind you.
The climb gets steep and burly up to a saddle and a "cowpatch". Look around on the ridge leading north from the cowpatch for the cow trail. Jump on this trail, it is a classic meandering cow trail. Stay on the lowest main trail and follow this back to the parking spot.
This descent is steep and exposed so watch your speed when you enter the trees.

From Salmon take US93 south to Shoup Bridge. Go right and cross the Salmon River. Follow the pavement for about 2.5 miles to Williams Lake Road, just after a rather sharp and blind turn. Go left on this road for about a mile and park on the right side.
