A scenic view of a cleared forest area with a wooden ramp leading into the distance. Two people are visible in the foreground, partially obscured, one holding a shovel. The landscape features tree stumps and logged terrain, with a backdrop of rolling hills and a cloudy sky. Herbert Forest MTB Tracks mountain bike trail.

Awesome track network. Be warned, it gets very slippery in the wet. Little signage at present so best to contact the local club for guiding. A 320m climb to begin the ride gets you well warmed up and rewards you with some great flowy and technical XC and downhill riding. Features can be avoided though if need be. New tracks are being developed currently so keep up with details on the Mountain Biking North Otago facebook page.

Nice warm up climb through pine forest.
Quick descent through the same, nice wee jumps off felled tree stumps and some good close trees.
