#995 of 1,392 mountain bike trails in Colorado
This is a good beginner ride or a way to add 5 miles to Beaver Brook . This was a fun ride on an old road. The first couple miles are fairly flat and open. The trail becomes steeper and overgrown to the point you can’t ride any further. A 1/4 mi. hike takes you to a cliff overlooking Upper Bear Creek and the Evergreen area. I think the trail shines more on the way back. From the junction of Witter Gulch Road and HWY 103 ride south on Witter Gulch Road after a short distance watch for a singletrack on the right that takes you around the private property and cabin. Follow the road to the south.
